Master these five steps to easily install the engine oil filter element

The engine is the heart of construction machinery, maintaining the operation of the entire machine. During the operation of the engine, metal debris, dust, carbon deposits and colloidal deposits oxidized at high temperatures, water, and other substances continuously mix with lubricating oil. The function of an oil filter is to filter out impurities, gum, and moisture in the engine oil, deliver clean engine oil to various lubrication parts, extend its service life, and play a crucial role in construction machinery!

Oil filter replacement steps:

Step 1: Drain the waste engine oil

First, drain the waste oil from the fuel tank, place an old oil container under the oil pan, open the oil drain bolt, and drain the waste oil. When draining the oil, try to let the oil drip for a period of time to ensure that the waste oil is discharged clean. (When using engine oil, it will produce a lot of impurities. If the discharge is not clean during replacement, it is easy to block the oil circuit, cause poor fuel supply, and cause structural wear.)

Step 2: Remove the old oil filter element

Move the old oil container under the machine filter and remove the old filter element. Be careful not to let waste oil dirty the inside of the machine.

Step 3: Preparation work before installing the oil filter element

Step 4: Install a new oil filter element

Check the oil outlet at the installation position of the oil filter element, clean the dirt and residual waste oil on it. Before installation, first put a sealing ring on the oil outlet position, and then slowly tighten the new oil filter. Do not tighten the oil filter too tightly. Generally, the fourth step is to install the new oil filter element

Check the oil outlet at the installation position of the oil filter element, clean the dirt and residual waste oil on it. Before installation, first put a sealing ring on the oil outlet position, and then slowly tighten the new machine filter. Do not tighten the machine filter too tightly. Generally, tighten it by hand and then use a wrench to tighten it by 3/4 turns. When installing a new filter element, be careful not to use a wrench to tighten it too hard, otherwise it is easy to damage the sealing ring inside the filter element, resulting in poor sealing effect and ineffective filtration!

Step 5: Add new engine oil to the oil tank

Finally, inject new engine oil into the oil tank, and if necessary, use a funnel to prevent the oil from pouring out of the engine. After refueling, check again for any leaks in the lower part of the engine.

If there is no leakage, check the oil dipstick to see if the oil has been added to the upper line. We recommend adding it to the upper line. In daily work, everyone should also regularly check the oil dipstick. If the oil level is less than the offline level, it should be replenished in a timely manner.

Summary: The oil filter plays an irreplaceable role in the oil circuit of construction machinery

A small oil filter may seem inconspicuous, but it has an irreplaceable position in construction machinery. Machinery cannot do without oil, just like the human body cannot do without healthy blood. Once the human body loses too much blood or undergoes a qualitative change in blood, life will be seriously threatened. The same goes for machines. If the oil in the engine does not pass through the filter and enters the lubricating oil circuit directly, it will bring the impurities contained in the oil into the metal friction surface, accelerate the wear of parts, and reduce the service life of the engine. Although replacing the oil filter is an extremely simple task, the correct operating method can extend the service life of the machine.
