How to reduce the loss of forklift clutches?

The forklift clutch plate is one of the components of the forklift clutch. As it is not exposed to the outside, it is not easy to observe, so its condition is also not easily detected. Many forklifts that do not have regular maintenance are often discovered only when the clutch is out of condition or the clutch plates are worn and burnt, and they smell a pungent odor or slip. So how often should the clutch plates of forklifts be replaced? When does it need to be replaced?

The clutch plate of a forklift is a medium conversion material that transmits engine power to the gearbox. The material of forklift clutch discs is similar to that of brake discs, and their friction discs have certain high-temperature resistance. During the operation of a forklift, when the clutch pedal is pressed, the clutch plate separates from the engine flywheel, and then switches from high gear to low gear or from low gear to high gear. When the clutch plate is connected to the engine flywheel through the clutch pressure plate.

1、 Replacement cycle of forklift clutch plates?

Normally, the clutch plate should be a vulnerable accessory of a forklift. But in fact, many cars only need to replace the clutch plates once a few years, and some forklifts may have even tried to replace the clutch plates after they smell burnt. How often does it need to be replaced? The following points can be referred to for replacement judgment:

1. The higher the forklift clutch is used, the higher it becomes;

2. Forklifts have difficulty climbing uphill;

3. After operating the forklift for a period of time, you can smell the smell of being burnt;

4. The simplest detection method is to shift to first gear, apply the handbrake (or press the brake), and then start. If the forklift engine does not stop, it can be directly determined that the forklift clutch plate needs to be replaced.

5. When starting in first gear, I feel uneven when engaging the clutch. The forklift has a sense of forward and backward movement, and there is a jerky feeling when pressing, stepping on, and lifting the clutch. It is necessary to replace the forklift clutch plate.

6. The sound of metal friction can be heard every time the clutch is lifted, and the most likely reason is that the forklift clutch plate is severely worn.

7. When the forklift engine cannot run at high speed, and the accelerator is suddenly pressed to the bottom when the front or second gear engine is at low speed, and the speed increases significantly without much acceleration, it indicates that the clutch of the forklift is slipping and needs to be replaced.

8. Some experienced repairmen or drivers can determine whether the clutch plates of forklifts need to be changed based on their daily driving experience.

2、 How to reduce clutch wear and tear in technology sharing?

1. Do not step on the clutch without shifting gears;

2. Do not step on the clutch pedal for too long, and timely release the clutch pedal or change the gear according to the road conditions or slope;

3. When decelerating, do not press the clutch pedal too early. Wait until the speed drops to a reasonable range before pressing the clutch pedal to reduce clutch idle;

4. When the forklift stops, it should shift to neutral and release the clutch pedal to avoid increasing the burden on the forklift clutch.

5. Use 1st gear for starting to achieve maximum torque during starting and reduce forklift clutch overload.
